I have four workouts under my belt so far and had a very positive experience. The unwanted "Show Me How" interruption happened exactly once (I since disabled voice commands) and on one resistance band exercise the avatar's arms sometimes moved spastically, but that's it. No problems with floor exercises, no problems with the Heart Rate Monitor (it's within 10 bpm of my own measurements), no problems with contacting the server, and no problems with crashes. I have plenty of room in front of the sensor, so that certainly helps.
The nine-week program is a bit tough for me, even on Easy (I get seriously winded after the side-to-side jumping exercise), so I'm working my way up with the Low Impact workout provided in the list. The fitness test was also pretty brutal for me with the repeated jumps... perhaps sprinting would have been a nice alternative?
At any rate, I just hope the patch doesn't cause more problems than they set out to fix.|||I still have issues with the floor exercises and I think the Kinect Sensor has to be put up higher if you have limited space in order for the person to be captured.
Glad you are not having those issues, I have been trying to like EASA2 but with the constant issues I have been going back to EASA or EASAMW or other programs to get a great workout. I will try it once again and hopefully it will capture everything otherwise it will sit on my shelf collecting dust :)|||Ok I moved the Kinect to a place 2 feet from the floor and voila it worked, well not 100% but at least the standing and running work. The floor exercises still have issues, instead of my person just sitting there, they are doing the workout twice as fast (by the time I get into doing it they are already done). I'm sure with some tweaking I will get to do them floor workouts as well.|||My main issue now is that EA Sports Active 2 wont start if my media computer is on, but as I know what I can do to get it running, that problem can be solved.
Also it helped alot to switch off the voice recognition, which solved most of my problems. I still have ID issues sometimes, but I know that I have to stand up between the floor exercises to avoid this. I have also found out that I was too close to my kinect sensor during my first exercise, so keep in mind to keep a distance even if you jump around alot. There should be a move back message like it is in Kinect sports and Kinect adventures.
Other than this I really enjoy EA Sports Active 2 and I have had no issues with the heart rate monitor.
