Make sure that when you try to sync your peripherals, it is when the game is running.
In any case, if the game simply isn't detecting the USB adapter, it may be damaged and need to be replaced, unfortunately.|||We have exactly the same problem, and I received the following fairly unhelpful response from the EA helpdesk:
"As per your concern, the question you submitted seems to be related to the mechanics of playing the game. Due to the high volume of contacts we receive, Customer Support is only able to assist with issues of a technical nature, such as error messages, game lock-ups, or game crashes. For suggestions on how to play or utilize features of our games, we recommend visiting the games message board forum"
Has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution? I don't want to have to send it back, especially if the replacement has the same problem....|||Fortunately, I was able to resolve my issue. Tech Support wasn't helpful for me either. However, the tech I spoke with was going to escalate my issue. I understand that's it's a new game and they hadn't received too many calls in order to have a ready solution. I chose to take the game back to the store for an exchange. If the replacement didn't work I would know there was a larger issue...it did work, seems to just have been a damaged USB receiver.|||Having this problem as well. I guess the USB Receiver is a piece of crap. I used mine the first day, left it plugged in and came back the next day and it was broken.|||I am also having problems with my USB - looks like a lot of people have defective USB.
EA Sports should definitely upgrade this problem!|||Make sure to plug in your USB receiver directly into your console, and not via a USB hub for best results.
For those who the USB worked for one day, but not the other please try these steps:
1) Try unplugging the USB receiver and re-inserting it again. Does the game recognise the USB receiver?
2) If this still doesn't work, please send me a private message and I'd like arrange a way to get our team to look at your USB receiver.

|||I have had the exact same issue. I was given this as a gift and no matter what I do, it will not detect the USB. I have kept trying to update the system, but it tells me that I have done all the needed updates. I have turned the Wii off by pressing the power button and unplugged it. Nothing has worked.|||For those of you who have done the following:
1) Made sure the USB receiver is plugged directly into the console (and not a USB HUB)
2) Removed any other USB hubs that are plugged in
3) Plugged in the USB when in the game
...and the game still doesn't recognise your USB adapter, then it may be damaged, unfortunately, and I would suggest to return it back to your retailer.|||Brought home ps3 EA Sports Active 2 nights ago, the leg monitor would not come alive, no matter what, so returned it yesterday. Pluged in replacement last night, everything worked. This morning, NO USB recogonition. This is not very good EA guys! Who made this batch of sensors ect.? they need firing!|||Finally got mine working (Wii). It worked briefly yesterday, but failed this morning. After a lot of rebooting it worked.
I moved the Wii away from my satellite receiver, pressed the Sync button a few times, and cleaned the USB connector
Lets see if it works again later!|||Well...I've spent 2 hours plugging, unplugging, resetting, researching why my USB is not recognized on my Wii. I've even got the latest Wii system update and still nothing! Now I find out it may be a bad USB and will need to return to store?!?!?! How many trips am I going to have to make in order to get this game to work??? I'm totally frustrated!! So much for new technology! Can't EA sports do a recall on all the USBs?? Car makers do it all the time!!!|||

It took four attempts to recognise the USB yesterday so rearranged my gear
Moved the Wii away from my satellite box, hi fi etc and it actually worked first time this morning.
I was wondering whether you are supposed to leave the USB receiver in all the time or not? Now it seems to be working I will leave well alone.
Have EA recognised any product problems with this - I am worried I may have a faulty receiver? I would rather get an exchange now than in a few months down the line.
