The app tells you that the remote and balance board are not required, I am wearing the wireless peripherals, and the app stops mid exercise as soon as either the remote or the balance board falls asleep/shuts off due to non-use. And mid exercise you have to stop, great rhythm here, power up the remote with the A button and a shake or power up the balance board and step on it to get the app to recognize it is back on line. How do you stop this other than “Before each exercise shake the (unneeded) remote and step on the (unneeded) balance board?|||I am using the Wii platform for EA Sports Active 2.0
From EA's chat room with Haden, Miguel, and Roger, these are 1) gaming issues and they only address technical issues, or 2) these are technical issues and they only address gaming issues.
I think they are programming issues and they don't seem to care to address these at all.
The remote and balance board are not peripherals, peripherals are the USB receiver, the forearm senser, and the leg sensor. And they lose comms usually two or three times a session, usually during cool down, and you need to break the rythum and click OK to continue.
The remote and balance board fall asleep and then the program freezes, mid exercise, until you wake up the asleept device. You can minimize this by accepting a compromise - deselect the balance board with you paid good money for from settings since the programming can't handle it. Or step on the balance board between every exercise but expect battery life, the asleep feature benefit to go into the trash with the batteries.
For the remote, you end up pressing the A button every time between exercises even though the program says you don't need it.
Not happy with compromises.
In one 30 minute session I have four remote time outs, and four balance board time outs.
