Dead sensor?

I've been using EASA2 for PS3 for weeks now, I'm on Phase 3 of the 9wk program on Hard!
Anyway, my leg sensor is dead! I've swapped the batteries, but the lights just won't come on at all. It doesn't seem to be a connection issue, as there's no power going to the device at all. I can't work out anymore with EASA2 because I can't get past the connection screen for all the sensors.
I know the store policy where I got the package. It's been well over 30 days, and the disc is not the problem. Is there any solution to a dead sensor? I could take it apart, but there's no guarantee I can find what's wrong. It's just really strange, I obviously used the sensor in my last workout. I opened the box today and *bam* my leg sensor just won't power on.
