Using the 360 with Kinect and EA Sports Active 2 for the first time today I came across a major problem with seeing the players during the sit ups exercise. It keeps dropping the player and not seeing them (I sit facing the screen/Kinect). Possibly this might be exacerbated because I have a larger chest area and am slightly shorter as it was able to see my husband for the most part correctly.
I also (at the moment) have difficulty sitting all the way up in the sit up, however even if I push myself up all the way to sitting vertically it still claims I'm laying down and should sit up which is disheartening as it seems no matter how good my form may end up it will never see this :)
This brought up a further problem. I like to work out with my husband and because of this issue we were stuck on this exercise while my console failed to see me. Going to the workout menu you can imagine my horror that there was no "Skip Exercise" option during 2 player! This meant that we had to call off the whole workout at that point.
I would prefer to be able to do the exercise and improve at it, at the same time if there is a problem such as this I'd really like to be able to skip the exercise and move on when working out with a partner instead of being stuck and having to quit the whole routine.|||Anyone? Bumping this up........|||When having to do 'sit down' exercises, I find that it works best if I do the following:
Stand up, and stay standing until the game actually tells you to sit down. If you go from one sit down exercise to another, you will have to stand up during the loading screen and wait till it tells you to sit down again.
An issue I find is that sometimes it keeps telling me to "Please move further back". Instead, try moving closer TOWARDS the sensor. This seems to happen to me often with the VSit Crunches.|||One thing that worked for me was to add a little more lighting towards the left/rear side of where you work out. I used to have just 1 lamp on towards the front and I noticed floor exercises were very buggy.
Use the kinect tuner in the program and experiment with different lighting. The kinect tuner in the program is better that the one from the dashboard for me as it shows you what it sees as your head, hands etc. Using that I found that when i added more light to my left/rear side, it detected my floor exercises much better. Still not perfect, but I can at least finish the exercises...
