Great exercise software, love the new Active 2. But I have a major issue. The connection between the sensors and USB Bluetooth key drops every 5-10 seconds. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks,
Alex|||I am having the same problem, I cant get the usb stick to connect at all.|||If you are on the Wii, make sure you are on the latest system update. I had to update for the USB stick to be recognized.|||

Thanks for the tip. But I am on PS3 and I have the latest updates.
Any idea guys?
I am starting to be frustrated.

Alex|||Sensor issues can be difficult to diagnose. If the sensors lights actually stay fully lit for at least 5 seconds, and then they get out of sync (start blinking) then it may be picking up interference from something else in the room. If the batteries are low, or are a weak rechargeable brand, this can also cause this issue.
If the sensors never sync up at all, and are always blinking, then you may need a system update (as one Wii owner mentioned). Also, I would unplug the USB adapter and plug it back in, and then press the sync button on each device again. Hold the button for at least 2 seconds if you are having trouble at this step. If this still doesn't work, you may need to rebind the peripherals using the Rebind Peripheral option in the Help and Settings menu. Follow the instructions carefully here, it should only be done as a last resort. If that still doesn't work for you, then you may have defective peripherals and ask for a replacement from your retailer.|||

does this refer to the Wii only? I have the 360 and when putting in batteries itll sync and connect for probably 2 seconds then itll disconnect and I cant turn the heart rate monitor on again without taking the batteries out and putting them back in.|||

Hi.
Thanks for the help.
So i did try a bit more to figure out the cause. It seems that the disconnections happens when the sensor is hidden from the site of view of the USB key. For example, when I do crouches and my legs are bended, as the leg sensor and the USB key do not have direct view the connexion drops 8 times out of 10.
I will need to stop and position my leg in a way that the key and the sensor have direct view, once synced continue my exercise, but most of the time after few movements the signal drops again.
Very frustrating|||I am having the same problem with my sensors. They keep losing connection and then I have to stop working out after only a few seconds and point them to the usb stick, then click the button on the screen and then start working out again. This happens every few seconds. I can't workout like this. This is insane. Looks like I need to take this back to Walmart and get a refund. Looks like a cool game if only the sensors worked like they should.|||More tests in addition to the two others that I already explained above in my post.
Actually standing in front of the box and with covering one of the sensors with my hand I see that the sensor disconnects.
Could it be that the USB key has weak signals?
Any help is appreciated.|||That signal sounds weaker than normal. In your case I would check if the batteries are indeed fully charged. There also may be a lot of signal interference in your home caused by other bluetooth devices or signals. If the batteries are not the issue, and it really is preventing you from completing the workouts, then I would suggest returning the game to your retailer and ask for a new one.|||I got it on the 16th and sadly something was off, cause I had to be within 3 feet to stay connected for 10 seconds.
I went and got a different set, but I also got a few other items that may have helped improve the performance as well.
3 foot USB Extension cable
4 Pack of AAA batteries.
(optional) Dbl Sided Tape
I re-installed the new USB device, but this time I used the USB extension cable so I could mount the drive on the front of the TV, rather then have it hide behind the Wii.
I also use the new batteries in the device rather then use the batteries that come with it.
So far, with my limited use, I have had zero issue. I could have had a faulty 1st box set, but I think the extension cable can help many people.
Hope this help anyone.
|||I haven't had any problem but that may be a solution if you have. I had to do that with my cordless mouse at work because my computer is under my desk and I kept losing the connection.|||I couldnt get mine to connect yesterday on my PS3.
Turned out I wasnt doing it right, its PRESS AND HOLD until it connects when you set it up the first time. Everything connected OK then.|||Thanks to everyboy's help.
So here is an update. I changed the batteries and it did not work. I bought an USB extender thinking that maybe the location of the box could create the issue and it did not work. I tried with all my electronic devices the could create interference with the bluetooth signal turned off and with or without the USB it did not work.
My issue is that the connection works, but as soon as any of the sensor do not have direct view of the USB key (example hiding my arm behind my back) the signal on that particular sensor drops.
I am returning the box and ask for an exchange hoping that it is a problem with the device. If not that means that some houses probably will not be compatible with this game.
Cheers,
Alex|||Same issue. VERY frustrating!! Changed batteries, moved wii console so the usb was more "visible". STILL losing the connection with MOST movement! Loved the idea of this but I'm thinking it's a dud. This is a HUGE design flaw. Would love response from someone at EA.
