Arm and Leg bands constantly disconnect

Nintendo Wii / NFL Training Camp
When the game starts, the arm and leg bands will initially connect...solid blue light. As soon as I begin any activity, they (one or the other) will disconnect, which pauses the workout, and then as soon as the connection screen opens up, they re-connect and I have to hit OK to get back to the workout.
I have tried to use a USB extension cord so the USB dongle is in the front of the Wii...Did not help
I have also tried to turn off anything that uses bluetooth in the house....did not work
I contacted customer support chat...they could not help...they advised that I post on this Forum
I am at the end of my rope....will probably return the game...unless anyone knows of a fix for this problem.
