I got EA Active 2 for PS3. The first workout, the heart rate monitor lost connection in the middle of it. I repeated that workout the next day and it was fine. My third workout I got about halfway thru and all of the sensors lost connection. I quit the game, then did the rebinding. They connected again but all lost connection shortly thereafter. I haven't been able to get them to reconnect again after restarting the game. It's not a battery issue, I am using the brand new batteries that came with the game. These sensors have not been reliable enough to get workouts done. It seems like the USB unit might be faulty because it is not keeping connections.
Any suggestions other than return it and hope a new one doesn't have the same problem? (I got it from Amazon.com).|||Connect the reciever directly to the PS3 port, and disconnetct every other USB device.
First I had big problen, when I had added the dongle after an usb-hub.
next: Sometimes I have troubles holding the connettion when the distance between dongle and armsensor is for about 3m.
(I think this happen it htere is a lott of traffic within the 400Mhz Free band, So Wlan, usb ...)
Mayby this happens if my neugbour surfes the same time,
Looks like they didnt implement any rolling counter, and request of resend in case of an collision due tue traffic.
Solution: Use an USB extension cabel(no Hub, just analog wires, and move the dongle in your directon, in order to minimise the air distance)
Since the dongly lies directly where my feet are, the connection is quite stable.
|||This worked for me temporarily, but now it is dropping several times during my workout again. I pulled my PS3 away from the TV to the point I am practically stepping on it while working out. I think the USB sensor is crap, it can't hold the connection any more and doesn't always get detected when I put it back in the USB port. This is ridiculous, I'm returning my game.
